A combo of the most authentic dial of the collection and a "modern" Nylon strap, the "Original Nylon" is a mix of vintage & new. The factory fresh A-11 look from 1942 still carries its vintage and no-frills design. The Nylon strap backs the field watch aesthetics while adding a touch of modernity - more akin to what you'd find on today's field watches.
The matte black dial with white-silver indexes provides unparalleled legibility although that is not surprising given the operational requirements back in WW2. The funky minute & hour indexes throw back to a time where these watches were literally hand painted. We've kept all of those micro-faults in this variation to keep the feel of what an original would have been.
The case is probably where we've had the most creative intent. The main case body is sandblasted to remove any shine as any self-respecting field watch would. However, as a reference to the original shiny Chrome Plating most A-11s had back in the day, we've opted for shiny lugs.
The Brown tressed Nylon strap leans heavily on the original field watch aesthetic while providing an increased rugged look. The Nylon tressing adds thickness to the overall watch increasing its rugged feel (quite literally, you'll feel it on your wrist as it breaks in!) and bringing it to the more modern age post-WW2.
